Julie in the early years
Babies are trained by Julie Hetherington (now Turley.) Julie was one of the first members of the Quay Coronets. She lived in the same street as Jen McKeon and was best mates with Debbie, Jen's daughter.   Julie and Barbara became best mates in 1970. Julie started dancing in the Jnr's aged just 8 and moved to Snr after double dancing for some years, and she danced there until she began training the Juniors.
She then took on the younger members and has had much success with Dinkies and Babies over the years. She has got her hands full this year training 22 brand new 10 & 11 yr olds and the Babies!!

Helping Julie to train the babies is Tracy Morris (now Jones.) Tracy first joined the Quay Starlets in 1974 and used to hold the shield. She left around 1977 and rejoined in 1982 where she danced in the Juniors. Tracy was then moved to Seniors and took a year out in 1986 for a Saturday job. She returned the following year and danced in the seniors until retiring in 2000. She has since helped all the trainers out with arm works and routine's etc, but she predominantly helps Julie to train the babies and the new starters. In July 2004 she trained to Judge through NEMDCO and passed out in August of the same year. Tracy judges each week and has proved very successful in her role. She has a daughter Hannah who dance's in our Junior's.
